. October 14, 2008

NEW ORLEANS, LA, April 5, 2007. Interstate Hotels and Resorts recently announced the reflagging of the Riverfront Hotel as the Wyndham Riverfront New Orleans Hotel. Local businessmen Joe Jaeger, Darryl Berger, Roger Ogden and Randy Waesche celebrated the opening of the hotel February 2006.

"By aligning ourselves with the Wyndham brand we are setting the stage for continued growth in the rebuilding of New Orleans," states Ogden, who originally developed the $43 million Wyndham Riverfront New Orleans project. "Our primary goal was to pioneer new development on Convention Center Boulevard, and we have certainly succeeded." The project has been widely recognized for its unique design, marrying the historic architecture of the Warehouse District with the contemporary Riverfront. From the Old World charm of the grand entrance and original arched brick walls that once enclosed a rice warehouse a century ago to the 202 modern guest rooms and spectacular two-story suites guests are treated to New World luxury in the midst of an historic backdrop. The 6-story hotel, located at 701 Convention Center Blvd., offers the same high quality in-room amenities and hotel facilities for which the brand is well known.

Situated between the Morial Convention Center and Harrah's New Orleans Casino guests are in the heart of New Orleans' business and leisure center. The property is within easy walking distance of the French Quarter, The Riverwalk, The Shops at Canal Place, Aquarium of the Americas, the Arts District, and riverboat and cruise ship docks. The Wyndham Riverfront features 3,325 square feet of richly appointed meeting and event space with four versatile meeting rooms with capacities up to 120 people. Guests need not go far for world famous New Orleans cuisine: 7 on Fulton, recently recognized by The Times Piacyune, presents contemporary New Orleans cuisine by award-winning chef Michael Sichel.

The Wyndham Riverfront New Orleans Hotel joins the Bourbon Orleans, Wyndham New Orleans at Canal Place, and The Whitney, as the fourth hotel under the Wyndham flag in New Orleans. Craig Hulford, General Manager of the Wyndham Riverfront says "the new affiliation puts the finishing touches on the property. Everyone already knows us as a Wyndham Hotel." As one of the largest hospitality companies in the world the Wyndham Hotel Group encompasses more than 6400 franchised hotels and 535,000 hotel rooms worldwide.
