GARDEN CITY, NY October 14,, 2005. Adelphi University's 17th Annual Golf Classic on September 26, 2005 raised a record $120,000 for student athletic scholarships as more than 220 alumni and friends hit the links at Cherry Valley Club in Garden City. The festive day-long event honored Patrick S. Smalley '86, executive vice president of Fairhaven Properties Inc. and The Garden City Hotel, with the 2005 President's Award for Outstanding Achievement and Friendship.

As executive vice president of Fairhaven Properties Inc. and The Garden City Hotel, Smalley advises ownership on organizational, financial, and market strategies and the implementation of major decisions concerning direction, asset management, capital formation, resource allocation, and new business opportunities.

Active within the community, Mr. Smalley is a member of the Adelphi University Alumni Association executive board and chairman of its financial resources committee. Recently, he was granted the 2005 Community Achievement Award by the Garden City Chamber of Commerce in recognition for his outstanding professionalism and significant contributions to the Village of Garden City . He was named Executive of The Year by the Mental Health Association of Nassau County for exemplifying a superior standard of excellence and commitment to the Nassau County community.

Mr. Smalley holds a B.A. degree from Adelphi University, is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, and he holds New York State general real estate appraiser and real estate broker licenses. Born in Brooklyn, NY , he resides in Garden City, with his son, Christopher.
