Triple Creek Ranch's Spring Roundups and Vintners Getaways
Wine Lovers and Wannabe Cowboys Head to Popular Spring Roundups and Vintners Getaways
DARBY, MT, February 2, 2009 - On the heels of capturing a trio of coveted honors on Travel + Leisure's just-released T+L 500 Highest-Rated Hotels list (including #1 hotel in the U.S.), Triple Creek Ranch announces 2009 dates for its Second Annual Spring Roundups and Sixth Annual Spring Vintners Series. The award-winning mountain retreat's spring events afford an idyllic Big Sky setting for days spent in the saddle or sipping wines in the company of leading winemakers. As an added incentive, guests who book by March 15 save 10% off package prices.
Second Annual Spring Roundups
Cattle branding and barrel racing are the order of the day during Triple Creek Ranch's Second Annual Spring Roundups, a pair of adrenaline-pumping four-night stays scheduled May 3-7 and May 10-14, 2009. The packages include a Cowboy Basics Day, a Branding Day, and a Rodeo Day; all meals, beverages, house wines and spirits; and other on-ranch activities. Per-couple rates range from $3,150 for a cedar cabin to $4,350 for a luxury cabin.
The itinerary kicks off with a welcome reception hosted by Triple Creek Ranch wranglers, followed by three days of hands-on ranch activities. A day learning cowboy basics including roping and wrangling, is followed by Branding Day with "rustling" and even vaccinating horses, and Rodeo Day, a fitting finale that allows aspiring ranchers to test their riding skills. This "graduation" 'day on horseback' includes timed events such as barrel racing, pole bending and other rodeo classics. At the end of each day, guests return to the privacy of their cabin to unwind by a roaring fire, enjoy a couple's massage and sip champagne in a hot tub, followed by candlelit dinners in the Lodge's top-rated dining room, where Executive Chef Jacob Leatherman offers inspired regional menus using seasonal ingredients of the highest quality.
Sixth Annual Spring Vintners Series
Triple Creek Ranch's Sixth Annual Spring Vintners Series runs May through June and features one award-winning winery on each of four weekends. The weekend packages include wine tastings with visiting vintners, wine dinners, plus outdoor and indoor activities ranging from fly-fishing and horseback riding to couple's massages. The four-day/three-night program dates are May 7-10, 21-24, 28-31 and June 4-7, 2009 and feature, in order of dates, artisan winery Saviah Cellars; Chappellet, known for its extraordinary Cabernets; L'Aventure, vintner of the signature Optimus and Estate Cuvee blends; and Koenig Vineyards, producer of hand-crafted varietal wines in Idaho's Snake River Valley. Rates begin at $1,950 per couple, based on double occupancy.
