Benchmark Appoints Tom Cross as Director of Food & Beverage at Turtle Bay Resort, Oahu
HOUSTON, TX, October 25, 2005. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Tom Cross as director of food & beverage for Turtle Bay Resort, the signature property located on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Abid Butt, vice president and managing director for the resort, made the announcement saying, "I am pleased to welcome Tom as director of food & beverage for Benchmark at Turtle Bay Resort. He comes to us with over a decade of leadership experience at Hawaiian resorts and we're glad he is part of our executive team."
Mr. Cross was previously director of food and beverage at Kona Village Resort, an exclusive property of individual bungalows on the Big Island of Hawaii. Prior to this position, he was director of food and beverage at the Hawaiian Regent Hotel on Oahu, the third largest hotel in the islands.
Cross received his education at the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a Certificate in International Relations. Cross also attended the University of the Pacific with an emphasis on non-western cultural studies. He resides in Hawaii Kai on Oahu.
