Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay Debuts Sol-Mer Spa & Salon

. May 11, 2009

MAY 11. 2009 - The 524-room all-inclusive Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay has expanded its pampering options with the opening of the new Sol-Mer Spa & Salon. The 1,382 square-foot facility offers a full range of beauty and wellness treatments combining spa-exclusive Pevonia Botanica products with uniquely Jamaican accents to deliver an absolutely indulgent spa experience.

The facility is distinguished by a Thai-inspired grand foyer, with Far East d'ecor and design elements carried throughout the treatment rooms and beauty salon. The menu of services at the new Sol-Mer Spa & Salon includes such spa staples as massage therapy, reflexology, waxing, scrubs, wraps, facials, manicure/pedicure, and hairstyling.

Uniquely Jamaican accents are most prevalent in massage treatments, which offer guests a choice of natural Jamaican oils. One option, a Jamaican bitter orange oil, is specially formulated to de-stress and relax muscles, while another, a Jamaican fever grass oil, works wonders on tension and anxiety.

Spa services can be booked a-la-carte, with individual massage fees ranging from $35 for a 15-minute head massage, to $150 for a 60-minute "four-hands" treatment. Couples massage rates top-out at $185 for a 60-minute deep-tissue session. For an extra $20, any massage service can be enjoyed al fresco right on the beach. Value-added packages are also available, including:

o Love at Sunset ($140) - couples massage performed at sunset on the beach.

o Bridal Party Spa Day ($215 per-person) - includes facial, manicure/pedicure, 20-minute aromatherapy massage, hairstyling (pin up) and make-up for up to six people.

o Luxury Day at the Spa ($300) - includes 45-minute massage, wrap, scrub, facial and manicure/pedicure.

o 10 by 30 ($350) - guest choice of any 10 treatments for 30-minute sessions performed at leisure.

Guests also save 10% when combining any three treatments, or 5% when combining any two.

The Sol-Mer Spa & Salon is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Nicola Madden-Greig, Group Director of Marketing & Sales at the Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay, commented on the Sol-Mer Spa & Salon, stating: "The opening of our new spa represents a tremendous step forward in our continuing effort toward delivering a world-class, uniquely Jamaican resort product. Additional enhancements and improvements are planned for 2009 further satisfying the needs of today's discerning traveler."
