. October 14, 2008

NEW ORLEANS, LA, June 29, 2005. New Orleans is going to get a little hotter this summer as Harrah's New Orleans launches Masquerade, a one-of-a-kind casino entertainment venue that will quickly become the "must-see" attraction for locals and visitors alike. Set in the heart of the casino, Masquerade is a $15 million extravaganza performance and nightlife zone. Anchored by a stunning 42' video tower, Masquerade will feature live performances, high-tech audio/visual sequences and a chic ice bar. While Las Vegas may have made casino entertainment famous, Harrah's New Orleans has upped the ante and is set to dazzle with this unconventional and truly unique entertainment destination.

The four-story tower, which will have an ever-changing exhibit of lights and projected images, has a 360-degree stage wrapped around its core. This extraordinary performance platform is ringed with dramatic faux fire, which provides a counterpoint to the ice-topped bar encircling the tower's base. The ice bar will be a trendy gathering spot, supplying the kinetic 'people' energy for Masquerade. The exclusive Ultra Lounge, which will present a perfect view of the performances and bar action, will be another Masquerade hot spot.

The free nightly shows, produced by Dick Foster Productions of Las Vegas, begin at 7:00pm with "Grand Masquerade", and continue throughout the night with various themes. Each show will take Harrah's guests on a dazzling journey that is hypnotic, stimulating, enticing and increasingly sensual as the night progresses. The show features a cast of 21 performers, and per producer David Gravatt, "each hour will unlock the secrets behind the masks." Each show ("Vybe", "Smokin' Jazz", "Turn Up The Heat" and "Whisper") following the 7:00 pm "Grand Masquerade" will continue the transformation of Masquerade throughout the night into New Orleans' most exhilarating destination. The cast will feature some of the hottest dancers in the country, selected from auditions held coast to coast.

Already the most popular and most visited attraction in the south, Harrah's New Orleans believes their unique location in the heart of downtown provides the perfect setting for something completely out-of-the-box and creative. "Having the famed French Quarter right across the street raises the bar in terms of the caliber of entertainment we offer our guests," explains Dan Nita, General Manager of Harrah's New Orleans. "We believe Masquerade will quickly become a top must-see attraction and gathering place, and will set a new standard for casino entertainment and New Orleans."

Offering video poker, blackjack and an assortment of slots, Masquerade will also be one of the chicest gaming spots in the country. Guests will be able to check out the shows or bar action from their favorite game.
