ME Cabo Resort on Medano Beach Reopens Following Extensive $16 Million Renovation
CABO SAN LUCAS, ME. March 21, 2016 - Back and ready for action, ME Cabo officially reopens its doors today. After an extensive $16 million renovation, all rooms, suites and public spaces at ME Cabo have been redone to elevate the overall guest experience and cement its place as one of the destination's most popular resorts. Architects Patricia Rios and Leonardo Díaz Borioli have worked alongside renowned interior designer Alejandra Contreras to transform ME Cabo to exemplify the vibrancy and simplistic elegance of Cabo San Lucas.
With a total of 162 guest rooms, including 62 ME+ Suites, the resort blends Mexican culture and design with modern resort amenities to create a luxurious beachfront experience. In line with the trendsetting reputation that precedes ME Cabo, guests find themselves surrounded by custom designed aspects that are exclusive to the property. These include furniture and decor pieces crafted by the artistic hands of Mexican masons, carpenters and craftsmen, and new custom designed wallpaper that together culminate in the property's new aesthetic. Brightly colored fabrics decorate the lobby and Rose Bar, while contrasting shades of grey and white provide an elegant and soothing vibe in the guest rooms, as well as the completely re-tiled pool deck and brand new beach club.
The incorporation of culturally traditional artwork was purposefully curated to complement the modern re-design of ME Cabo, creating the property's strongest artistic concept. In addition to its distinctive decor, ME Cabo taps into Mexican heritage through unique paintings and sculptures by celebrated Mexican artist Yuri Zatarain, displayed in guest rooms and public spaces. Contemporary images by Portland, Oregon based photographer Kineo provide a more modern focal juxtaposition on white washed walls throughout the property.
