Eos Hospitality Completes Property-Wide Transformation of Hotel Bethany Beach

USA, Bethany Beach, Delaware. May 04, 2022

Hotel Bethany Beach announces its property-wide transformation, reimagining the hotel's lobby, guest rooms, suites and breakfast area. Ideally located in the center of Bethany Beach, just steps away from boardwalk festivities and sandy beach, the redesign ushers in a new level of exceeding expectations, for both first-time and returning guests. The overall design aesthetic embraces the serene, coastal respite of the destination and brings a sense of calm that permeates throughout the hotel. Hotel Bethany Beach is owned and operated by EOS Hospitality, a full-service hotel management company that specializes in operating luxury urban hotels and beach resorts in drive-to destinations. The property is one of only two hotels in Bethany Beach, with the other being EOS sister property, Bethany Beach Ocean Suites Residence Inn by Marriott.

The 100-key property has been remastered under the creative eye of New York-based, award-winning design firm LHK Design. The color pattern was inspired by the hues of a soothing, quiet sunrise reflecting on the ocean - sea blues, saffron and sand tones. Pops of accent colors mirror that of the rising sun - bold yellows, reds, blues and greens. Infusing unexpected elements like rattan, rustic weathered woods and outdoor furnishings inside, the interior spaces are suggestive of a beachside hotel terrace.

"We take pride in providing our guests with an unmatched and unforgettable experience," said Benjamin Gray, Area General Manager. "The investment that we've made and the fantastic partnerships that we've created will provide enjoyment and fun for the whole family."

The lobby features unexpected outdoor furniture pieces, including a surfboard coffee table paired with hand-woven, all-weather wicker lounge chairs, conveying the spirit of beach life. The unique accent wall tile behind the front desk creates a mural that evokes nature with its wood effect and evocative shapes. The hand-blown smoke gray glass pendants over the front desk capture the eye's attention like a piece of beach glass glistening in the sunlight. The breakfast area features a custom wall covering that reflects the feeling of dawn on the Atlantic Ocean, capturing the endless variation in each day's sunrise. Carpet patterns are inspired by the effect of dappled sunlight as it filters through the wood fences at the beach along the dunes. Open 24-7, guests are invited to enjoy complimentary breakfast, board games and more in the expansive lobby and lounge area.

The spacious guestrooms have been updated with large windows, modern furnishings and a cozy seating area. Upgraded bathrooms feature top-of-the-line fixtures, vanities, and new showers. The guestroom headboards, nightstands, and dressers are finished with a high-contrast grained wood in white and gray that accentuates the natural grain pattern, reminiscent of beachside painted wood. The natural texture of rope gives the guestroom nightstand table lamps a nautical appeal, complemented by rustic white oak leg posts on the floor lamps that were inspired by the boardwalk. Suite 401 features a separate, yet connected kids sleeping area, reminiscent of a beach shack, with surfboard and wave art, white-washed wood flooring, white wood and rattan-style furniture, a lighthouse style lamp, and a sunset mural that fully covers the wall.

Hotel Bethany Beach has forged a plethora of local partnerships to further elevate the guest experience by offering complimentary treats, insider deals, and unique experiences. Steen's Beach Service will provide complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, both delivered to and picked up from guests' desired beach location; available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. An activity the whole family can enjoy, Nick's Mini Golf, provides hotel guests with two complimentary rounds of mini golf, located just steps away from the hotel. Visitors can partake in a Delaware tradition of delectable crab and seafood from Mickey's Family Crabhouse, with a 10% discount, which also applies to in-room dining at the hotel. Food & Beverage: Remarkably Resilient

In the wake of the devastation that disrupted every aspect of their operations, the hotel food & beverage industry is proceeding with cautious optimism and a measure of hope as it re-emerges from the pandemic's darker days. It is also bringing forward all the lessons learned from the challenges that were faced, and integrating them into their current, day-to-day operations. For example, new digital interfaces that minimize physical contact, including tableside ordering systems and QR code menus. Here to stay are also features such as packaged room service meals and cocktails; on-property, quick-service food options; a greater emphasis on outdoor dining and pop-up restaurants; gourmet home meal kits; live-streamed cooking classes; and virtual wine-tastings. Still, some challenges remain, such as coping with a persistent labor shortage and maintaining scrupulous sanitation standards. The August issue of the Hotel Business Review will report on what some leading hotels are doing to integrate these changes into their F&B operations as they rebound with a remarkable resiliency.
